The purpose of the WHNA is to protect and promote the common good and general welfare of residents living in the Uptown Whittier area, and to preserve the historic integrity and natural resources of the area.
WHNA was formed after a small group of residents gathered together in the fall of 1997 and discussed the possibility of forming an organization to improve and protect their Uptown Whittier neighborhood.
